food

I started weight watchers on monday and have been doing very well! it's fun shopping for low point food.
my goal is 70 pounds by this time next year.
if I hit the goal sooner.. GREAT! but I am giving myself a full year to loose the weight.
The lunch I fixed for my self today was AMAZING, and very filling.
Chicken and spinach salad
1 small chicken breast, grilled or baked.
1 cup of fresh baby spinach.
1/4 cup green peas, steamed or boiled
1/4 cup carrots, cold or steamed
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 broccoli, steamed or cold
1/4 cup grilled onions
1/4 fresh mango

combine all ingredients in one bowl and ENJOY!

It is very very good. and best of all... only 3 points, and its a BIG bowl.

on other notes:
I leave for flordia in 3 weeks and am excited and nervous beyond all reason.
I LOVE my roommates. I am so happy and very blessed to have them in my life. We get along really well and just enjoy each others company.

Oh my.

This has been an interesting and STRESSFUL year so far. So many ups and downs. Here is a recap of my year:

January:

1. My Taurus decided to die on me, we had a good 4 years together. It was sad to see her go.

2. I got a new car. and LOVE it. Here is a picture:

Feburary:

1. Realized that I was really behind in school and needed to get my act together.

2. Went to Vegas

3. Bryce came home from his mission

March:

1.Started going to school on sautrdays.

2. Taft Died in a car accident

April:

1. Finally found out taft died, 2 weeks later.

2. was in a car accident 2 days after I found out about Taft.

3. Bryce was in Utah, but things didnt work out.

4. Decided I want to go on a mission

5. now, the best news of all:

I was Accepted to compete in a National Hair show/competition In ORLANDO FLORIDA!

It's time to go home.

Taft Penney Ahlstrom

January 23 1989 - March 21 2009

Taft Penney Ahlstrom left this life on March 21, 2009 in a tragic accident. Taft was born on January 23, 1989 to Peggy Clark Ahlstrom and Daren Ahlstrom. Taft made everyday a new adventure. He was known and loved by many. He had a special spirit and a gift for humor. He made us smile. Taft could outwit, out play, outlast just about everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Taft is survived by his loving mother Peggy, of Grantsville. His father and stepmother Daren and Christina of West Jordan, sister Lydia and brother Heber of Grantsville, many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Taft And Lydia Ahlstrom

Taft Ahlstrom was a good friend of mine. He loved making other people laugh, and hated to see people sad. Taft and I dated for a short while and became very close friends, unfortunatley our veiws on what we wanted out of life was different and our relationship ended. While we werent on talking terms for almost a year, the friendship we had never ceased.

I ran into Taft working as a cashier at Maceys Grocery Store in Provo about 2 months ago. While at first it was awkward and weird to see him, after not talking for so long. We instantly caught up and became friends again. Exchanged phone numbers once again and started talking like we did when we first met.

Taft was killed instantly in a head on car collision on March 21st 2009 in Tooele Utah. The driver of the car, Kendra Naisbitt, was not wearing her seatbelt correctly. Taft and the other passenger Bailey Corless, were not wearing seatbelts at all. Paramedics and police of Grantsville and Tooele say this was one of the worse car accidents they had ever seen.

Jacob White the driver of the other car, was wearing his seatbelt, and although he is in critical condition, paramedics believe he will recover just fine. Police say they believe Jacob may have fallen asleep at the wheel and hit Taft's car head on.

We all may miss Taft Ahlstrom, miss his cheerful voice and contageous laugh. His energetic and loving personality. He is on to bigger and better things. Just as his roommate and life long friend Logan Heap said in his talk at Taft's funeral "I felt you there. But I realized it was more than just a funeral. It was your mission farewell. " Taft is on a mission with God. Meeting all the amazing people that have had the opportunity to Pass on. Earthly life is just one step in God's great plan. Taft did what he was here to do, and was lucky enough to go home.

We all love and miss you Taft.

It's Only a Matter of Time

I only have
31 Weeks of school left.
31 weeks.
That's not that much! Only a little longer then 6 months.
YES!!!!! I can not wait. It's coming so close!!!
Cute is What we Aim For is coming in concert next tuesday and I really want to go. But if I want to finish in 31 weeks, I can not miss anymore school.
I only have to endure it for 31 more weeks. thats it. I can do it!

Time

There is NOT enough of it. I have so much to do but so little time to do it, waisting time on Facebook and my blog probably is not helping much either.
I work at The Provo Town Center Cinemark 16 Movie Theatre now. I work almost 6 times more then when I was at The Pita Pit. I feel like I might be able to get back on my feet and do someting with myself. Maybe move out of GLENWOOD, That's my number one priority right now. Come April, I will live in Glenwood for almost 2 years. That's 2 years to long.
Well, I have more productive things to do right now.. like clean my room and do laundry.
That's a good idea.

It has been an odd day, I don't really know where to start.
Bryce gets home this month, 23 days to be exact. And I am feeling a little uneasy about it, I don't really know what to think.
Time is going by to fast. I just want it to stop so I can sit down and breath. I need a new job, but noon is willing to hire me. I need a steady, well paying job, so I don't have to borrow money from my parents any more. It's a little frusterating when you don't have any money.
I am going to vegas on the 21st, to clear my head and just go crazy and have fun. i need a day away from utah. it will be well worth it.

This year has started off to a rough start. On New Years Eve the transmittion in my Taurus started slipping, so I started looking for a new car before the Taurus decided to give up on me. I looked on thursday and friday ALL day before finally finding one I was interested in, but they wouldnt make the deal I wanted.
So I was out to venture on saturday and ended up getting a call from my sales person with the the car I wanted saying they could do the deal!!!! ( because they felt sorry for me.. haha)
So I took the Taurus into the dealership and signed the papers for the new car. Went into my car so I could get the check from my credit union, and on my way to the credit union, The transmittion on the Taurus went out. ONE HOUR before the car would have been their problem and NOT MINE!!! UGH.
The dealership decided to still take the car as a trade in but the car was only worth 500 dollars.
So yes, I did get the New car, but for more then I actually wanted to pay for it.
but OH well. I got what i need and couldnt be happier.
I need to go to bed.
