How! Well, my last post was about how I got my mission call to France!
This Is Maria, one of our AMAZING Amis de L'eglise ( In French, we call investigators "friends of the church")
This is the Canal de Brienne, BEAUTIFUL canal running through the heart of Toulouse.
I spent a wonderful 6 months in France before needing to come home because of re-injuring and old injury in my ankle, multiple times. When ya can't walk, you unfortunately cannot be a missionary in France. A LOT of walking is involved. I flew home on September 14th. Was honorably released from my mission (couldn't have a "companion" with me 24/7) Started the what we didn't realize then, would be a LONG process to getting it fixed.
Doctors say that the old injury injury never healed, (probably because it was over looked, never went to the doctor for what I thought was a sprained ankle) and that I have been walking on a BROKEN ankle for nearly 2 1/2 years. My ankle is broken SO deep in my ankle that no x-ray, MRI, or CT scan could even see it. i finally got a bone scan, which showed that something is going on! The MRI showed that I have scar tissue and arthritis all throughout my ankle.
After being put into a cast for 6 weeks, non-weight bearing, with a bone growth stimulator. Nothing had changed. So now we are waiting on a second option from another doctor to see what he thinks we should do. (Our doctor is being EXTRA careful...joy)
We are just playing the waiting game!
Because I have so much time on my hands and have found Pinterest. I have a whole lot to do and try. I hope to share all my creations and fun outings with everyone!
I'll be making another post of all the things I have made already on Pinterest. As soon as my homemade Reeses Peanut Butter cups are done, which are cooling in the freezer as I type!
